Invented by the owner of the famed Trader Vic's restaurant and Tiki Bar chain in California, legend has it that the name of this iconic drink is a derivative of the Tahitian phrase meaning "the best!" It may not have been inspired by the beaches of the South Pacific, but the blend of citrus juices with the combination of spiced and coconut rum will make you feel like you have a Polynesian Tiki Bar in your own back yard!
Ingredients:
1 oz White Rum
1 oz Dark or Spiced Rum
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/4 oz Amaretto
3/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Lime shell and Mint sprigs
Directions:
Add all liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Fill the cocktail shaker half way with ice.
Shake it until your hand gets nice and cold.
Pour everything into your glass.
Toss in the shell of your lime and add a mint sprig.
Serve in:
Any cocktail glass
