About Me
I haven't been everywhere yet,
but it's on my list.
I am blessed with two amazing daughters who continually impress me with their creativity, compassion and ability to challenge me. I’m a cat mom to two feisty little fur-babies. I live and love life with a man who inspires me to chase my dreams and find joy in every moment.

I took my first trip to Europe when I was 35, and I have to admit it was a bit of a disaster. Too many rookie mistakes to count. Then, in 2012, my sister moved to Italy for a job. Being a teacher, I had time off in the summer. So I renewed my passport and booked a ticket to Venice for my 40th birthday. And so began my love affair with traveling. Since then I've traveled to 37 countries (and counting), and replaced my rookie mistakes with not-so-rookie mistakes. I'm still learning, but that's what makes the best travel stories!
I spent 20 years as an elementary and middle school educator in Memphis, Tennessee. I’m no longer teaching, but by nature I love to share everything I learn. So I decided to write about my experiences in this beautiful and diverse world we share. I hope to inspire others to expand their world view, explore places beyond the typical tourist destinations, and travel outside the lines.
You can truly go more places than you might imagine. The world is a big place. Go find it.
